A Light has Dawned

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned”. Isaiah 9:2

This isn’t a vision that I had but rather a feeling inside whilst I was praying one day.

I was observing all of the negativity on the news, all over facebook and being spoken about. I don’t have a TV but it’s very hard to avoid the news altogether. I found the more I listened to it the angrier and sadder I felt. I saw the media cover ups, the denial to equate anything isis with Islam due to political correctness, the atrocities that continue in majority Muslim countries to those of different faiths and nothing being done. Suddenly it struck me and I felt God speak to me of his unconditional love for Muslims and how he desperately wants them to know Him. I felt God speak to me of a great destiny which is why the devil has taken hold of them and blinded them. The devil knows that some people have great destinies and will do anything for God which is why he desperately wants to keep them in the dark. However, I was taken back to the bible to a man named Saul who was the most fervent Jew and he believed only was was right and anyone who disagreed was treated very harshly. He was responsible for the mass slaughter of many many Christians (and I expect the people below him were treated less than favourably too). However, this happened because the devil knew that Saul would be one of the most powerful weapons for good that happened in the early church and he was terrified. So we know the story Saul changed to Paul, was radically changed by an encounter with Jesus and won more souls for God than the rest of the church together. What I am saying is that despite the evil and the negativity surrounding us I believe that we are about to see many many Sauls emerging from the Muslim community radically changed by Jesus challenging Muslims, Atheists and yes even the church. I doubt we will hear about this on the news. In fact just recently I read about how a group of lions saved some Christians in the middle East and another story about isis leaders being touched by God and changing. It is happening but I believe that soon the news are going to have a very hard job hiding it and we are about to see such an explosion of Jesus in the once Muslim communities including those already living in the UK that it will be common knowledge to all.

I just wanted to encourage you not to give up, not to stop praying and not to feed on the negativity. Yes there are many many evil things that are happening and being exposed but we are about to see mega change and be reminded of God’s great great love for those who are still in the dark. His light will shine and very soon it will be so bright that all will see it.

Does the devil own a day?

The devil doesn’t own October 31st. In fact I am not going to call this day anything other than a day of light. I see so much darkness around me but only I am responsible for myself and for how I carry and bring the light (that is Jesus) into my neighbourhood, town or city. I can choose to either :

A) participate with the darkness (if you can’t beat them join them). go to a Halloween party, do trick or treating (because after all just a harmless bit of fun) etc…

B) comment on the darkness, have a moan, stomp your feet, lock your doors and windows, tell the little kids to ‘beat it!’ or you’ll call the police.

or C) choose to bring light to your neighbourhood. (I prefer this one 😉 )

Today isn’t meant to be a super serious post but rather I thought I would share some of the simple ways in which I thought I could bring a little bit of God’s light to my town. These don’t have to just happen tomorrow they can be ongoing things especially as we are getting into winter people can really empathise with light themes.

  1. In my town people are going crazy painting little rocks and leaving them in public places. It’s a fun activity for kids and then the kids and adults go hunting and post a picture onto facebook. Many people have obviously been painting pumpkins and witches but I decided to paint some with messages like ‘warrior child’ and ‘I am loved’ with pictures of crowns and hearts (you could do anything). I am going to do some more with subtle biblical messages and little candles on that say ‘look towards the light’ and “this little light of mine”. Honestly a great idea and anyone can find them. Pray before you place them in your town and remember to varnish them so the paint doesn’t come off!

2) Have a light party. I am having a few friends and their kids over. We are having a sort of combined bonfire/light themed party. I am hiding fake candles in the garden (you can buy off amazon) and the kids will find them, we are going to play some games and then eat food including a giant chocolate bonfire my son and I made today! I am going to decorate the house with light related bible verses and have subtle music playing in the background.

3) Play worship music all day even if you’re out. Remember this can change the atmosphere and won’t allow evil into your house but also into your neighbourhood. The demons hate worship so won’t want to be anywhere near it.

4) do a prayer walk, offer to pray for people or do a treasure hunt (where you ask for a specific message, place and a person to talk to). Even host a prayer meeting or worship meeting (witchcraft is quite big at this time so prayer and praise will do wonders for the atmosphere).

5) don’t moan about the darkness but anytime someone starts talking about something negative or negatively change the topic and talk about something positive. Tell them you think they are great, find something positive about your town or city.

6) I left sweets outside of my house with bible verses and positive messages on them (I guess people might not want to do this as could encourage trick or treaters)  but I felt I should do it last year and all of the sweets were gone and none of the bible verses were on the ground so the kids had certainly taken them home.  Some of the messages were: ‘you are loved’, ‘God loves you’, ‘Jesus is our light’, ‘Look to Jesus’, ‘You are precious’, ‘never give up’.

I hope this encourages you and if you have any extra creative ideas then please comment so other people can take your ideas away. I cant think of anymore for now but I hope this encourages you that whatever your age you can do something to change your community for the better.

Out with the darkness and in with the light 🙂 Jesus is that light!

What Will Revival Look Like?

I just thought I would write down some of my thoughts here. Because we have just stepped into a new time threshold and now it’s God’s time to move I was thinking about what this next move of God will look like:

Something that kept coming into my mind was that God is going to use those that society says will never be used and are useless. When I heard this I was instantly excited in my spirit because I know so many people who have been told by society that they are not worth a penny. I know God holds their worth and they are more precious than diamonds. I was trying to picture it in my mind. I saw people from all tribes and tongues. I saw worship in church in many different languages. I was reminded of a time at New Wine when some Masai warriors worshipped on the stage. Oh my goodness one of the best moments in my life. Another moment was when I was at International Gateway camp in Hong Kong and each nation did a song and dance on stage on a different night. There was wonderful worship, complete strangers holding hands and singing. Most of all was the forgiveness. At one point a Japanese girl got onto the stage followed by her group with tears streaming down their cheeks and begged for forgiveness from the Chinese. A couple of Chinese jumped up and ran to the stage followed by about 50 (all of them there) and they gave the Japanese group hugs which lasted a very long time. It was an emotional but joyful time. I will always remember that. That I think is how church will be. Nobody will be in need and people will never feel alone. People who have been abused, even those who have attacked others (but repented), many former Muslims (especially those who hated Christians most-I am reminded of Paul here), and those who currently belong to some certain politically correct movements who hate, hate, hate and who at this current time you would look at them and think “how on earth will God use someone like that to bring his kingdom on Earth?” will all not only be a part of this next movement but they will be leaders and many yes will be persecuted but God’s power will be shown through them because, “Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little”. (Luke 7:47 KJV). I am so excited. So don’t listen to the gloom and doom because it’s time for God to have some room!!:)

God bless you all and may the Host of Heaven and the Holy Spirit be with you 🙂

Beautiful China

I was fascinated by reading the news about China the other day. I have always loved China. When I was a little girl growing up in the countryside I must say there weren’t many Chinese people however I was always finding myself drawn to people from different nationalities. There was one Chinese family at that time in our town and I remember them introducing me to their culture. I also read Gladys Aylwood’s biography and felt touched. As I went into higher education I found myself becoming friends with some girls from Hong Kong and after I finished school I went with a friend to visit Hong Kong. I had a wonderful time there and fell in love with the culture. However, I always wanted to visit China for real. I got the opportunity to go and live there in 2012.

While I was there I saw many different parts of the Chinese culture. The main culture that we associate with China actually is related to the Hans people. I also had the chance to meet people from other minority groups too and learn about their customs. Many of these indigenous people groups have often been marginalised and have suffered terrible human rights abuses under the communist Chinese government. It is certainly much more relaxed than it used to be in many ways. Nonetheless many people face great persecution in China. One of these groups is Christians. I attended an international church in Beijing and I had to show my foreign passport in order to enter. I felt sad knowing that I was doing something many Chinese people can never do, worship freely. Communism brought so much hardships in the former years for the average Chinese person. Many accounts of life show that people had to drink their own urine in order to survive. Times were hard, many died and if you showed the smallest part of resistance you were sent to jail or worse.

Now if you are a Christian the reigns have been loosened a little so to speak however churches must be registered under government approval. They must not preach on certain areas and they must be strictly regulated by the government. They are called the three-self churches. Until recently if you wanted to preach on the Holy Spirit and be free in your worship you had to attend an underground church whose members were highly persecuted.

This brings me to the news that I read:

A pastor named Duan told a news source that God is now moving in a powerful way in these state controlled churches. Topics like healings, miracles, signs and wonders are becoming more mainstream and not every sermon is vetted by the government. Now something different is happening in the government approved churches, there is growth. In the same way that many were drawn to the underground churches many are now meeting God in the state churches! God is doing something wonderful in China, something that for decades people would never have dreamed of.  I believe  however that this is only a preparation for the future, a future where God is going to move not only in China but throughout this entire world.

*If you want to read a real account about life for a Chinese Christian then Brother Yun’s story is fascinating and moving.

Placed for a Purpose

I was fascinated today because whilst I was observing the news I looked at the name of our current prime minister and I felt I should go and check the meaning of it. Google came up with this, ‘Teresa is generally believed to be derived from the Greek ‘therizein’ (to reap, to gather in) and thus takes the definition of “harvester.”

This is absolutely relevant to us today. There have been many prophesies as of late describing how we are as a nation on the brink of a national harvest. Yet this is not confined only to the UK but will rather be a global in-gathering. So it seems completely uncoincidental that we now have a leader whose name means ‘HARVESTER’. However another definition also came up for ‘Theresa’ whilst I was searching and this one was ‘SUMMER’. I also believe this is no coincidence either.

We have seen our society gradually decaying, the NHS in pieces, education behind other countries, a shocking housing crisis, widespread poverty and I could go on. However, this will come as a reminder, as a message of hope that we will come out of this winter and will enter into summer. We will of course have a spring first, perhaps it will be a cold one as many of them are but nevertheless we will see leaves and flowers start to bud. We will feel perhaps a different warmer kind of breeze and when the sun shines down it will fill you with warmth even if it is but only a moment.

In the end you know without a doubt that you are coming out of winter, there is no going back. Seasons always go in full circle. We can see this by looking at history, for example the First and Second Great Awakenings. We have had our winter and we have paid the price of hibernating but now it’s time, it’s time to come out of the woodwork. It’s time to just take those small steps outside of your cosy little home and then you will realise that despite the cool air, wind and the rain there are a few flowers budding, the sun is appearing, the days are getting longer and the cold is becoming lesser. So let this be an encouragement to you that as we move into this Kingdom Age we know without a doubt that summer WILL come and we Will have a harvest very soon.

I believe our prime minister has been placed there for a purpose to bring about many things that are meant to be. I believe that we will see great improvements. I also believe that you and I were also placed on the earth for a time as this. There are no coincidences in God’s plans.

God bless you all

Kingdom Come

In order to gain revelation and wisdom on the future of God’s kingdom in the UK and in the world we need to do a number of things.

  • We first and fore mostly need to spend time with God. God reveals what he wants to especially to those who are found on their knees in the secret place, to those who sacrifice their lives daily for Him and for those who are living holy lives. This could be on your knees in your room in the silence, whilst you are listening to anointed worship music or maybe even when you are just washing the dishes. Let’s be alert and keep our Father in our every thought. We need to seek Him for His purpose for England and for the world.
  • We need to be connecting with people of light. After Brexit I have really been awakened in the spirit and have been connected to different people, people I never imagined I would be, new people, old acquaintances, and even those in other countries. These are not friendships I pushed for but rather supernatural occurrences which I believe were ordained by God. For example, God has given me some beautiful and blessed friendships from America. They have taught me so much, have exposed me to the truth and left me hungry for more. These people can often be the jigsaw pieces in the puzzle.
  • We need to take a look at the past. This does not mean that the future will be the same as the past but rather that it can give us some great insights into God’s heart. It can open our eyes to see the true failures of man and how to avoid them. For example looking at the Great Awakening and what triggered it. Looking at these “Great men and women of God” and seeing what it was exactly that made them “Great” and what we can take from that. Try reading: God’s Heart For A Dying Land by Michael Marce
  • This point ties into my third point but we need to also look at the geography of the land. We need to look for where the ancient wells are, which areas were saturated with revival and the spirit of the Living God. I believe that there are areas that are portals into the heavenly realms. Sadly, many have for decades been taken by the enemy but it’s time for us to take them back for God and to release the Host into them to battle the darkness. Try looking at www.ukwells.org this is a good website which shows all the different geographical regions of the UK.

I will post more on my next two blogs about point 3 and 4.

God bless you and thank you for sharing my post on Richard’s Watch. www.richards-watch.org which is a great website to get insight and revelation. Let’s connect and build one another up!!

God bless you all and may the Host be with you! 🙂
